5. The Primordials’ Gift

After hours surrounded by nothing but darkness, one of the Mayans begins to see a dim light. A voice talks to him claiming that if he finds the center of the monolith, he will be able to return home. With no choice, the Mayan willingly follows the dim light. Whispers seem to be talking in ancient tongues and he suspects that these whispers are ghosts of primordials from ancient times. He is suspicious about the intentions of the voices he hears, as some of them seem to be talking about destruction and mayhem. He worries that his participation could trigger something horrible, but eager to escape the monolith he continues to follow the voices.
